Final Fantasy 15 on Nintendo Switch games list? Square Enix has good news for fans

Final Fantasy 15 fans have been given more hope about a possible Nintendo Switch port.

Final Fantasy XV developer Square Enix recently suggested that a Nintendo Switch release could be on the cards.

It all started at Gamescom, when Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata hinted at a Switch release.

Asked about the future of the series, he said: “We can’t give you any complete solid details at the moment.

“There’s another certain console out there that you may be thinking of, it sounds a little bit like your name Twitch.”

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

In a follow-up interview with DualShockers, Tabata-san said that the team had been testing the game engine on Nintendo Switch.

The bad news is that the team was unable to “bring out the most of the engine” on Nintendo Switch.

While this may not seem too positive, Tabata’s team didn’t actually perform any optimisations, so there’s still hope.

Likewise, tests with Unity and Unreal Engine 4 were more positive, which gives the developer more options.

Games like Life is Strange and Final Fantasy 7 Remake are developed using these engines, so even if Final Fantasy 15 doesn’t get ported over, one of these games might.

And speaking of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, developer Square Enix may have dropped a hint about when it plans to reveal the .

Little has been seen of the Final Fantasy VII Remake since it was announced at E3 back in 2015.

Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto has explained why fans haven’t heard much about the game since it was announced, before hinting at when we may find out more.

Hashimoto said that announcements are typically saved for special events and anniversaries.

And it just so happens that Final Fantasy 7 has a big anniversary coming up very soon.

The classic PSOne role-playing game was released on January 31, 1997 in Japan, followed by a September 7, 1997 release in North America and November 17, 1997 release in Europe.

Fingers crossed we’ll find out more on September 7 or November 17.
