Harry Potter 19 Years Later: Is JK Rowling making a surprise appearance at King’s Cross?

Today is the day Harry Potter fans have been waiting for. September 1, 2017 – The date the famous wizard himself sends his son Albus Severus Potter off to Hogwarts for the first time.

The famous scene was the epilogue called 19 Years Later in the final Harry Potter book.

The scene was also portrayed at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 movie and continues to be played every day as the opening scene of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play.

Now as Potterheads gather for the 11am train back to Hogwarts, at King’s Cross station’s Platform 9 3/4, a rumour is spreading that Rowling herself will turn up for the momentous occasion.

Express.co.uk went early this morning to the magical platform, where some fans who have been waiting since 5am said the Harry Potter shop next door teased what could be expected.

Apparently a Hogwarts Express will be driven through the station and “some very special people” are set to make an appearance.

Just who could it be? The fans thought it must be

Other possible “special people” could include Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, the stars of the Harry Potter movies.

Or perhaps the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will arrive to act out the famous scene from the play?

Whatever happens, this is a very special occasion for fans, just as Back to the Future Day was two years ago – they can only happen once!
