Stardew Valley Switch UPDATE: Great news for Nintendo Switch fans, as release date nears

Stardew Valley fans have been given some great news about the Nintendo Switch port.

It all started with a recent blog post in which Stardew Valley developer Chucklefish said that the Nintendo Switch port was coming along nicely.

“I know you’re all waiting for Stardew Valley on the Switch! I see your tweets!” the post reads.

“The port is in testing now, and we’ll let you know as soon as we can confidently announce a release date. We generally don’t announce release dates until quite close to launch, when we are at least 95% certain that nothing will go terribly terribly wrong.”

This was followed by a tweet suggesting that a Nintendo Switch release date is drawing near.

In fact, with the Nintendo Switch version almost done, Chucklefish has started teasing its next project.

And according to Chucklefish, the new game takes the lessons learnt from Stardew Valley.

“SDV still in testing, no news yet,” a tweet reads. “Thought this sneak peak might tide you over. We’ve learned a lot of lessons from working with Stardew.”
