Since his debut at the end of the remastered version of Return of the Jedi, Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Force ghost has been due a return.
Both Yoda and Obi-Wan’s voices were heard in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi teaser, but what role will Anakin play?
In his new YouTube video, Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh, who claims he has a source at Pinewood Studios, said: “Recently we learned that Hayden Christensen provided some lines at Pinewood for the upcoming film, The Last Jedi.
“[This led] to a lot of fans wondering maybe he’s going to become a Force ghost…but only in the form of a voice.”
He continued: “We heard the exact same thing for Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Force ghost, that we will only hear him. A lot of concepts from The Force Awakens will be travelling over into The Last Jedi.

“Originally they planned on introducing Yoda as a Force ghost in The Force Awakens – that didn’t happen. And they also planned the same exact thing for Anakin Skywalker – that didn’t happen as well.
“Now it makes sense to bring Anakin Skywalker back in some way, shape or form.
“[After all], Anakin[’s Force ghost] was lecturing Luke Skywalker after the events of Return of the Jedi.”
IS THIS HOW ANAKIN SKYWALKER IS THE SECRET BEHIND LUKE’S ABILITIES
Zeroh added: “And it would only make sense to hear Anakin’s input, in this film, for Luke Skywalker to have some sort of interesting scene that would really make us wonder what their relationship really is now – between father and son.
“I think that even if we get a little snippet of this in The Last Jedi, we’re definitely going to learn a whole lot more about this in the novelisation and other forms of canon, such as the Legends of Luke Skywalker: Journey to The Last Jedi.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
