Scrappage scheme bargain cars you should bag NOW as the deals end soon

German car manufacturers BMW, and VW have all introduced a scheme targeting older more polluting diesels, in exchange for discounts of new cars.

. The American car giant’s initiative targets both petrol and diesel cars and offers drivers up to £4,000 off a new car and £7,000 off a new van.

Some drivers could end up quids in on the deal as you could trade in your old car which could be valued at nothing more than a couple of hundred pounds and end up getting £2,000 off a new car.

Manufacturers all have different criteria for which vehicles are eligible for the trade-in discount but most manufactures look for cars that are a decade old or older and Euro 1 to Euro 4 vehicles.

If you are eligible and more manufacturers continue to offer discounts off new cars then you could stand to have a huge pool of vehicles to choose from.
