Xbox One X news: Microsoft just solved the console’s BIGGEST problem

Microsoft may have solved the Xbox One X’s biggest problem ahead of launch.

The  X is Microsoft’s ultra-powerful new console that’s capable of delivering true 4K visuals and increased performance.

The only problem with all this power is that Xbox One X file sizes are likely to be extremely high, potentially exceeding 100 GB.

Fortunately, Microsoft is working on a solution that will reduce the size of your Xbox One X game downloads.

That’s according to Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra, who told GamesRadar: “On the platform side [we’re] looking at things like what we call internally Intelligent Delivery.”

Based on Ybarra’s description, Xbox One X game assets will be split between the cloud and your system. The console will essentially select what it needs and when it needs them.

If it stops you having to delete existing games every time you buy a new title, then fingers crossed it will be ready for the Xbox One X release date.

The news comes just days after Microsoft opened .

And the good news for Microsoft is that stock is selling out fast, especially the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition, which is only available in limited quantities.

The Scorpio Edition features a custom colour and a vertical stand that will also be sold separately.

It also has ‘Project Scorpio’ printed on the console and Xbox Wireless Controller.

You can pre-order now for £449 ahead of the November 7 release date.

Microsoft’s impressive new console has a CPU that is 30% faster than that of the original Xbox One, while the GPU is 4.6 times more powerful than its predecessor.

Interestingly, the 8GB of memory – which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One – allows the console to process art assets, making it easier to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds.
