UPDATE ONE: While there were no big surprises from Blizzard, the company did share new information on the big Shadows of Argus World of Warcraft patch.
“The journey to Argus begins within the Exodar. Velen is gathering allies to join him on a journey most perilous aboard a new ship known as the Vindicaar. Once on Argus, adventurers progress through a series of story chapters in three new regions,” Blizzard explains.
“Each week, new elements of the story on Argus become available, telling the tale of what was, what is, and what could be.”
- Week 1: Begin the invasion of Argus and embark on an epic storyline beginning in Krokuun. Team up with the Army of the Light and take the fight to the very heart of the Legion in the Antoran Wastes. Gain access to new World Quests and Emissaries on Argus.
- Week 2: Finish the story of Krokuun and travel to the ruined draenei city of Mac’Aree. Gain access to Invasion Points and thwart the Burning Legion’s plans on other worlds. Additional World Quests in Mac’Aree are available along with access to Invasion Points.
- Week 3: Finish the Shadows of Argus storyline, unlock all World Quests, and venture into the new dungeon, the Seat of the Triumvirate. Activate your Netherlight Crucible on the Vindicaar to begin forging Relics.
It was also confirmed that Patch 7.3: Shadows of Argus would have an August 29 release date.

Blizzard is about to reveal more about its key titles as part of a big Gamescom 2017 live stream later today.
Overwatch fans will be treated to another brand new animated short, following Monday’s Junkertown map reveal and story trailer.
Fans will be hoping to find out the Junkertown release date and details of the next major update.
Hearthstone is also expected to take centre stage, as Blizzard reveals more about the game’s Fireside Gathering features.
This includes the Fireside Brawl, where players can team up for a group raid against the Lich King.
Other games that will be making an appearance at Gamescom include World of Warcraft, which is about to get a new patch.
In fact, Blizzard has already confirmed that patch 7.3 will be detailed during the live stream.
Today also marks the beginning of the WoW European Championship Finals, which run until Saturday.
Heroes of the Storm fans can expect to find out more about the newest Hero, while StarCraft II’s new co-op commander could also be shown.
But it’s the Junkertown map that is causing the biggest buzz. The escort map is set in Australia, and should reveal more about the backgrounds of Roadhog and Junkrat.
“Junkertown is an Escort map located in the harsh and unforgiving Australian Outback,” the official description explains.
“Constructed from the remains of a destroyed omnium, it’s now the home to a band of lawless scavengers known as the Junkers, led by their cutthroat Queen.
“When they aren’t pillaging the omnium’s skeleton for anything of value, the Junkers blow off steam in the Scrapyard—a massive gladiatorial arena whose combatants fight for glory, riches…and to survive.”
