What happens when you die: Man who had near death experience describes afterlife

The anonymous victim experienced being dead for a few moments which lasted what felt like an eternity.

The victim revealed on Reddit that he drowned and was moments from the afterlife when he was brought back fro the dead by life guards.

Under the name ‘aLongLastingLimp’, they said they “experienced travel”, added: “In this travel I was gifted knowledge of where it is that good souls go to and where the doomed souls are sent to.”

They added: “When you die you’ll know you’re dead because one of two things will happen, you’ll either be traveling through what will look like a tunnel of light shooting all around you or you’ll be in a place that comes with nothing but fear and darkness all around.

“Now as for the tunnel, its not really a tunnel, it more of what from the outside looks like a glowing cord that is being slowly whipped around in space and all the light shooting around inside are good souls going in all the same direction to a better place.”

However, the person adds that they were also shown the “dark place” where bad souls go when they perish.

aLongLastingLimp adds: “This place has no light, in this place you’ll know you’re in hell and that you’ll be there for all eternity.

“No thoughts except for ones knowing you are a bad person haunt your mind.

“The darkness leaves you in a terrified paralysis where you cant see anything except for the vast dark emptiness of a hellish universe with no stars, no light, no anything, not even thought.

“I wouldn’t wish more worse enemy to go to this place.”

The user in question says that they had several NDE’s when they were younger, which caused “me to connect to these places”.

The post from aLongLastingLimp drew a range of emotions from the readers, with one commenting: “The place of peace and calm sounds beautiful.”

Another added: “Posts like these give me hope. Thanks”.

However, for others it drew fear.

One wrote: “I’m sometimes scared that me being gay will send me to hell. I try and be a good person and help others.

“It doesn’t seem fair to choose between love and eternal loneliness.”
