Importance Score: 45 / 100 🔵

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs confronted his former aide, who alleges he was exploited as the rap magnate’s drug carrier. The Diddy trial continues with new testimonies and evidence.

Brendan Paul, 25, was apprehended in Miami in March of last year and accused of possessing cocaine and marijuana. He purportedly acquired and ferried narcotics at Combs’ instruction but initially declined to implicate the rapper.

Paul received a six-month drug rehabilitation program concerning the charges and has now testified in Diddy’s trial in return for legal protection.

He is the last witness anticipated to be presented by the prosecution, which is expected to conclude its case early next week.

Prosecutors assert that evidence presented over the past six weeks demonstrates that Combs employed fame, influence, and coercion to compel his girlfriends into participating in ‘freak-off’ sex gatherings.

The defense, slated to present its arguments next week, contends that prosecutors are attempting to criminalize consensual sexual activity.

They concede their client engaged in domestic abuse but maintain he is not guilty of federal offenses, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Combs, 55, has entered a not guilty plea to the accusations.

Diddy’s ‘Drug Mule’ Brendan Paul Testifies

Brendan Paul Testifies in Exchange for Immunity

Brendan Paul, Diddy’s former ‘drug mule,’ was the first witness today.

Paul was identified in a civil suit filed last February by Rodney Jones Jr, who accused Diddy of compelling him to procure prostitutes for sexual encounters.

Jones accused Paul of being Diddy’s drug ‘mule,’ transporting illicit substances and firearms.

Paul, 25, a former basketball player at Syracuse University, was taken into custody in March last year at Opa-locka airport in Miami.

He faced charges for cocaine and marijuana possession but was given a six-month drug intervention program, which he completed to avoid incarceration.

Paul testified in court under an immunity order sanctioned by the judge.

Witnesses in the Diddy Trial

The trial has included bombshell testimonies from ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, rapper Kid Cudi, Dawn Richard (a former member of Combs’ pop group Danity Kane), and ex-executive assistant George Kaplan, among others.

Diddy denies all accusations. His lawyers admit he’s abusive, though he doesn’t face domestic abuse charges, maintaining his innocence regarding sex trafficking or racketeering.

Next Witness Scheduled

Joseph Cerciello, a Special Agent from the US Dept Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), is scheduled to testify next.

Cassie Ventura and Diddy Text Exchange

In texts from March 18th, 2017, Cassie conveyed her frustration over her stagnating career and the emphasis on constant ‘freak offs’.

‘You’re at a point where you want to party and have a good time,’ she wrote.

‘I have to focus or I’ll never become anything… doing that opened the door to being my sole purpose in seeing you.’

‘You treat me like a hooker to be honest. This hooker [Ventura] has been here for 10 years.’

Brendan Paul Concludes Testimony

Diddy’s former assistant, Brendan Paul, completed his testimony for the day.

Before leaving the stand, he described Diddy as ‘extremely creative’ and noted positive experiences ‘for the most part’.

When questioned about his feelings toward the mogul, he described it as ‘complicated.’

Paul did not look at Diddy upon exiting the stand.

Diddy Conspiracy Theories

Internet users have attempted to link major figures, including Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z, to Diddy’s alleged misconduct.

Prince and Kim Porter were posthumously implicated, with theorists claiming both detailed Diddy’s exploits before their deaths.

Family Support: Diddy’s Mother and Son in Court

Diddy’s mother and son Justin, whom he shares with Misa Hylton, were seen arriving at court.

Various members of Diddy’s family have shown their support for the mogul during the six-week trial.

Cross-Examination of Brendan Paul

During cross-examination, Diddy’s lawyer, Brian Steel, questioned the former basketball player, who said he understood that a drug mule ‘traffics kilos of drugs across the world.’

Paul conceded that he acquired drugs between 5 and 10 times during his 18 months working with Sean Combs, considering it a ‘minor’ part of his duties.

After his 2024 arrest on drug charges at a Miami airport, the charges were dismissed.

‘I have a really good lawyer. I entered a pretrial diversion program, took over 20 drug classes and a bunch of random drug testing,’ he stated.

Role in Setting Up “Freak Off” Nights

Texts showed how Diddy’s employees helped set up ‘freak off’ nights for him and others at hotels.

At the time, these were termed “wild king” nights.

‘PD active now, running to Walmart for them,’ Paul texted. ‘PD’ was a shortened nickname for Diddy.

‘I went to get soups, towels, a few things he’d requested,’ he testified.

‘Before he got there, [I’d] call room service, have them bring up extra sheets, extra towels fruit plates, I’d bring lights, Astroglide, baby oil, liquor, chapagm, toothpaste, cologne.’

For one night, Paul collected $5,000 in cash from security to give to Diddy.

He also cleaned up hotel rooms after these nights, sending photos to Diddy’s property manager knowing there would be damage charges.

Drug Use with Diddy

Lawyers questioned Brendan Paul about drug use with Diddy.

‘Once at after party at Coachella,’ he testified.

‘He had Tusi with him and asked me to try it if it was good.’

Though he had never tried it, he said ‘I wanted to prove my loyalty.’

Acquiring Drugs for Diddy

Paul testified that he saw Diddy use cocaine, ketamine, ecstasy, and marijuana.

He was instructed to buy these drugs, including ‘tusi’ and ketamine lollipops, with cash.

He contacted dealers named Guido, One Stop, Baby Girl, and Ovi for exchanges.

Paul emphasized discretion to keep Diddy’s identity anonymous.

‘It was very important to keep his profile low, people could screenshot it… (people could say) hey I was asked to get drugs for Diddy.’

Paul stored the drugs in Diddy’s designer Gucci pouch.

Duties as Diddy’s Assistant

Paul described his duties as ‘organizing suitcases, Amazon returns, picking up pharmacy items,’ and ‘packing joints,’ which meant stuffing marijuana into cones.

He had ‘almost zero’ interaction with Diddy in the initial weeks.

Another assistant told Paul ‘to stay clear [of Diddy] while [he] got used to the environment.’

He claimed 80-100 hour weeks on call, starting at $75k, raised to $100k in January 2024.
