Celebrities Speak Out as Sean “Diddy” Combs Faces Sex Trafficking Allegations
Amidst the ongoing sex trafficking trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, more figures in the entertainment industry are coming forward. Recently, Kid Cudi, legally known as Scott Mescudi, testified, alleging that he received menacing threats from the “Last Night” performer after briefly being romantically involved with Combs’ former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. This testimony sheds further light on the controversies surrounding Diddy.
Here’s what Kid Cudi disclosed about Combs during his May 22, 2025, court appearance.
The Relationship Between Kid Cudi and Cassie Ventura
Kid Cudi stated that he and Cassie had a brief relationship in 2011. According to reports, he informed the court that he knew Diddy and Cassie “were no longer together” when he began seeing her. Cassie contends that her brief romance with Kid Cudi infuriated Diddy, allegedly leading the Bad Boy Records founder to threaten them both.
Kid Cudi’s Allegations Against Diddy
Kid Cudi testified about an alleged incident where Diddy broke into his residence when he started seeing Cassie. In December 2011, Kid Cudi reportedly sensed Cassie sounding “distressed” and “afraid” during a phone conversation, prompting him to take her to a Los Angeles hotel, believing she would be “safe away from him.”
While at the hotel, Kid Cudi recounted being informed by a friend that Diddy was inside his house. Kid Cudi drove to his home, contacted Diddy, and allegedly heard him say, “I’m over here waiting for you.” Upon arriving home, Kid Cudi claimed to have discovered that his security cameras had been interfered with, items were rummaged through, and his dog was confined to the bathroom. Combs was not present at the location.
Escalating Threats and a Molotov Cocktail Incident
“I wanted to confront him; I wanted to fight him,” Kid Cudi stated in court. Instead, he filed a police report against Diddy. However, the alleged threats purportedly continued. The musician told the court that in January 2012, a Molotov cocktail was hurled at his Porsche, causing the vehicle to ignite.
Lack of Direct Evidence Linking Diddy
However, the person behind the car attack was never identified. Combs’ defense counsel cross-examined Kid Cudi regarding the Porsche incident. The rapper acknowledged that no witnesses testified to seeing Diddy or any of his associates in close proximity to his car.
