Armin Amiri Alleges Joint Smoking Session With Jenna and Barbara Bush
Armin Amiri, known for his role in And Just Like That, claims he once shared a joint with sisters Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush. The actor recounted the alleged incident during an appearance on “Page Six Radio,” sharing details of his encounter with the former First Daughters.
The Bungalow 8 Encounter
Amiri described meeting the twins, daughters of former President George W. Bush, while working as a doorman at the now-defunct Bungalow 8, a popular New York City nightclub that operated from 2001 to 2009. He recounted the night he met the Bush sisters, who are now 43 years old.
“We had 280 reservations for the restaurant that night,” Amiri recalled on the radio show. He admitted he initially didn’t recognize them. “I didn’t let ’em in because I didn’t know who they were,” Amiri stated, noting that a Secret Service agent then intervened.
He recounted the moment:
- A Secret Service agent approached him.
- The agent identified the women as “the First Daughters.”
- Amiri said he didn’t understand who they were initially.
Seeking Assistance With His Green Card
After gaining entry, Amiri said he facilitated a table for the Bush sisters. According to Amiri, he later approached them for help with his immigration status.
“I remember I needed my green card,” he claimed. “So, we smoked a joint together, and I was just like, ‘Listen, I’m having a green card problem.’” He further stated that one of the sisters offered to “speak to someone” regarding the issue. However, Amiri joked that “nothing ever happened.”
Following his shift, Amiri said he approached Jenna and Barbara, offering to cover the cost of their meal.
One of the sisters reportedly responded, “Honey, don’t even worry about it. We’re used to these kind of things.”
Representatives for Jenna Bush Hager have been contacted for comment.
Amiri’s Encounters With Other Prominent Figures
Amiri also told “Page Six Radio” about his attempts to seek assistance from former President Bill Clinton in obtaining permanent residency in the United States.
“I walked up to Bill Clinton and I said, ‘Bill, I need my green card,’” Amiri stated. “And he says, ‘Talk to my wife.’ So, I talked to Hillary [Clinton], and Hillary says, ‘Talk to my right-hand assistant Huma Abedin.’”
No Resolution
Despite these high-profile connections, Amiri quipped, “Nothing happened.”
