London Tops List of Expensive Pints
Unsurprisingly, London led as the priciest region, averaging £5.44 per pint. This figure surpasses the UK average of £4.60, which includes England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, by a substantial 84p. The south east, a burgeoning hotspot for weekend getaways like Margate, followed as the second most expensive, with prices nearing the £5 threshold at £4.94.
Regional Price Breakdown
The south west, esteemed for its coastal retreats in Cornwall and Devon, registered slightly above the national average at £4.63. Other regional averages include:
- East England (including Norfolk and Suffolk): £4.56
- Scotland (six regions), East and West Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, Northern Ireland, and the North West: £4.42
