Wilmer Valderrama’s Daughter Sets Hilarious Condition for Baby Brother’s Arrival
Actor Wilmer Valderrama and his fiancée, Amanda Pacheco, are anticipating the birth of their son. As the couple eagerly awaits the new arrival, their 4-year-old daughter, Nakano, has presented a unique demand regarding her soon-to-be baby brother. The NCIS star, age 45, shared the amusing condition with the press.
Nakano’s Hilarious Stipulation
The NCIS actor, 45, and his fiancée, Amanda Pacheco, shared that their daughter Nakano’s reaction to the news of her impending role as a big sister was initially filled with “excitement,” Valderrama revealed in an interview. However, Nakano specified her preference when her parents inquired about the prospect of having a baby brother.
“We’re like, ‘What do you want, a baby brother or baby sister?’ She goes, ‘I want a baby sister,’” Valderrama recounted at 2025 CBS Fest on Wednesday, May 7. “[We asked], ‘What if it’s a baby brother?’ She was like, ‘Well then, you have to buy me a kitty cat.’”
Future Plans for a Pet?
Valderrama mentioned they are still undecided about fulfilling Nakano’s request for a feline companion, but noted that Nakano, whom he affectionately described as “so funny,” remains “happy” regardless. The That 70’s Show alum and Pacheco, 34, welcomed their daughter in February 2021 after dating for two years. The couple got engaged on New Year’s Day 2020.
“I’m just excited to see Amanda be a mom of two,” Valderrama expressed. “She’s an amazing mom. She’s incredible. She gets her mama’s boy, but honestly, [we’re] just hoping for a healthy baby and excited to upgrade the family.”
Valderrama Reflects on NCIS and Teases Season 23
In addition to preparing for fatherhood, Valderrama is also gearing up for the return of his popular CBS series NCIS. The show’s 22nd season concluded on May 5. Valderrama discussed his character Torres’ evolution throughout the season.
He told reporters, Torres “really gave himself to this family — to this team — and devoted himself to not only protect those who serve, but also protect those beside him.”
“When someone hurts, Torres hurts,” Valderrama elaborated. “Torres is a little more unhinged than most. He doesn’t really follow Gibb’s rules, let’s just say that.”
Hints About the Future of NCIS
The season 22 finale saw Special Agent in Charge Alden Parker’s (Gary Cole) father, Roman (Francis X. McCarthy), murdered. Valderrama suggested possible retribution for the act could be a main theme when NCIS returns for season 23.
“I think you’re going to see — not just Torres — a team that’s going to be willing to go rogue,” the actor revealed. “I think our badges are going to go in a drawer at some point.”
