Male Escort Testifies He Overheard Sean “Diddy” Combs Assaulting Cassie
A male escort, identified as Phillip, testified that on one occasion when Cassie Ventura did not immediately respond to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ summons, Combs allegedly hurled a liquor bottle in her direction, seized her hair, and forcibly pulled her into the bedroom. Phillip stated in his May 12 testimony that, “She was screaming,” and from an adjacent room, “what I heard sounded like him slapping her.” Phillip recounted hearing Combs say, “’I tell you to come here, you come here now, not later.’” This testimony offers further insight into the allegations surrounding the music mogul and his past relationships.
Fear and Inaction
Phillip conveyed that he felt “terrified” and chose not to intervene during the alleged incident.
Essex House Hotel Incident
Phillip further testified about purportedly overhearing what seemed to be Combs assaulting Ventura during a separate occurrence at the Essex House hotel in New York.
- “I heard her yelling, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’ someone was being slapped around and slammed around the room,” Phillip stated.
- “And I looked around the corner and I saw Mr. Combs walk out of the hotel altogether without clothes, he might have had a towel on.”
Ventura’s Reaction and Plea for Help
Following the alleged incident, Ventura reportedly exited the room and sought solace with Phillip.
- “She basically tried to convince me that ‘it’s OK’ and ‘I’ll be OK,’” Phillip continued.
- “And I said, ‘It is not OK and you need to get help.’”
Warning of Potential Danger
“I tried to explain to her that she was in real danger if she stayed with him,” Phillip said, expressing his concern for Ventura’s well-being.
Fear of Retribution
Under questioning by the prosecutor, Maureen Comey, regarding his failure to contact law enforcement, Phillip explained that he perceived Combs as “someone with unlimited power, and chances are, even if I did go to the police, that I might still end up losing my life.”
