Nike’s $900 Workout Shoes With Compression and Heating Launch Next Week

Nike and Hyperice Hyperboot: High-Tech Recovery Shoes Launching Soon

The innovative compression shoes showcased by Nike and Hyperice at CES 2025 are transitioning from concept to reality. The Hyperboot, designed for pre- and post-workout recovery, will be available for purchase online in North America within a week, priced at $899. This launch marks a significant step in wearable technology aimed at enhancing athletic performance and recovery.

Hyperboot: Wearable Tech for Foot Recovery

These high-top recovery shoes, described by Nike and Hyperice as a wearable device akin to a smartwatch, are engineered to warm up feet before exercise and aid in recovery afterward. The Nike Hyperboot, launching May 17, incorporates heating and air-compression massage technology directly into the footwear. This portable design brings the benefits of heating pads and compression socks to a mobile format.

First Impressions: Testing the Hyperboot Experience

Earlier this year, our team had the opportunity to test these innovative boots. According to initial impressions, the integrated heating system is noticeably effective. The boots deliver a massaging and compressing action to the ankles and feet, with the heat being particularly felt around the ankle area. Buttons located on the compression shoes allow users to adjust both the compression intensity and the heat level, offering customizable settings for each feature.

Advanced Technology and Features

Dual-Air Bladder and Heating System

According to Nike, “The Hyperboot incorporates a dual-air bladder system that delivers sequential compression patterns. These are integrated with thermally efficient heating elements that evenly distribute warmth throughout the entire shoe’s upper.”

Battery Life and Charging

  • The battery provides 1 to 1.5 hours of use with maximum heat and compression settings.
  • Using only the massage function extends battery life to approximately 8 hours.
  • Charging is facilitated via USB-C cable and takes between 5 to 6 hours.

Available Sizes

The Hyperboot will be offered in five sizes to accommodate different foot dimensions:

  • S
  • M
  • L
  • XL
  • XXL
