Justin Theroux and his new spouse Nicole Brydon Bloom are rejoicing in marital happiness.
The performer, 53, disclosed E! News on Thursday, May 1 that he and Bloom, 31, are “savoring” married life after exchanging vows approximately a month prior.
“We’re still in the early stages of our union,” he revealed. “It’s only been a little over a month, so we’re simply savoring it.”
Navigating Newlywed Life
Theroux mentioned that their most significant challenge currently revolves around plot spoilers for the Hulu series Paradise, in which Bloom stars. “She’s gearing up to commence season two, so it raises a major question of whether I want her to reveal plot twists to me,” the actor confessed.
“However, she wants to discuss her workday, so I’m essentially saying, spoil those parts for me and I’ll obviously discover the rest.”
Bijous Wedding Ceremony
The couple exchanged vows at Hotel Esencia in Xpu Há, Mexico, on March 15. Nevertheless, festivities commenced two days prior as they invited their kin and acquaintances to the hotel on Thursday, March 13.
Venue Selection
Theroux and Bloom divulged particulars of the nuptials afterward in an interview. “We spent time in Mexico and were captivated by the stylish, understated hotel,” Bloom shared with Vogue.
“From the moment I walked those jungle trails leading directly to the ocean, I felt assured that this was the ideal setting for our celebration.”
The performer, 53, and his bride, 31, officially exchanged their vows Saturday at 5 p.m. local time in a cove near the shore, as originally planned.
“We initially wanted to wed by the water, but on Saturday morning, the weather was extremely gusty with swirling sand,” Bloom revealed. “Hence, we shifted the ceremony to a sheltered cove. The ocean remained visible though we enjoyed protection under a canopy of palms.”
The Ceremony
Bloom’s sibling serenaded “Moon River” as she proceeded down the aisle.
“It was profoundly emotional to hear her luminous voice floating above the gentle waves as my stepfather Dan McNulty and I strolled past our loved ones toward Justin at the aisle’s end,” Bloom recounted.
Theroux added, “I’ll state that it was exceptional. Ceremonies marked by vows are rooted in the words within them—best left undescribed here. That said, the officiant said some beautiful things, and my wife was simply… incredibly touching. I was deeply moved.”
