The Intriguing Post-Credits Scenes of “Thunderbolts”
The Mid-Credits Scene
The mid-credits sequence is a humorous sketch featuring David Harbour as Red Guardian in a grocery store, attempting to get a fellow shopper to recognize him on a New Avengers cereal box, but failing.
The Post-Credits Scene
The post-credits scene, set approximately 14 months later in the Avengers Tower, is leaving audiences eagerly anticipating “The Fantastic Four” and “Avengers: Doomsday.”
The post-credits scene shows the New Avengers unwinding in the tower when Bob gets an emergency signal from Outer Space. As Florence Pugh’s Yelena examines the satellite imagery, a massive spacecraft comes into view. Upon rotation, a giant number 4 is revealed, confirming that the Fantastic Four have arrived in the MCU’s Earth-616.
What Does This Mean for Upcoming Marvel Films?

- Pedro Pascal
- Vanessa Kirby
- Joseph Quinn
- Ebon Moss-Bachrach
As the New Avengers’ post-credits sequence makes clear, the film “The Fantastic Four” will conclude with the superhero team traversing the multiverse into Earth-616 for the events of “Avengers: Doomsday.”
