George Clooney, Sarah Snook and Sadie Sink score Tony nominations for acclaimed Broadway plays

The nominations for the 78th Annual Tony Awards were unveiled Thursday morning, with three productions — “Death Becomes Her,” “Maybe Happy Ending,” and “Buena Vista Social Club” — at the forefront, each receiving 10 nods. Notable film actors Sarah Paulson and Wendell Pierce revealed the shortlisted contenders for theatre’s most prestigious accolades.

Among the contenders were several Hollywood luminaries, including George Clooney, Sarah Snook, Sadie Sink, and Bob Odenkirk. The ceremony, emceed by “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo, will transpire at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on June 8, beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
