Diablo IV has steadily grown its user community over the past year, and this month sees the launch of Season Eight. Alongside this new season comes an unexpected collaboration with the immensely popular anime and manga series Berserk. In honor of this crossover, Diablo IV’s creators, Blizzard Entertainment, have joined forces with Finnish heavy metal group Beast In Black to unleash an exclusive musical track.
Song Details and Availability
The composition, entitled Enter The Behelit, is featured on a limited-edition vinyl release, which also includes several other songs crafted and recorded by the band. These include Die By The Blade and The Fifth Angel, the latter of which is from the band’s debut album Berserker.
Online Release
Although the vinyl pressings are exclusive, the song has now been made available online on all major music streaming platforms.
The newly released track has been created to “celebrate the inclusion of the Berserk franchise in the Diablo universe for a limited duration”. Additionally, Beast In Black appears in a music video produced exclusively for the song.
Season Eight: Belial’s Return
Diablo IV’s Season Eight, titled “Belial’s Return”, is now available and features a Berserk crossover. This allows fans to don “iconic Berserk-inspired attire”.
Details from the Guitarist and Songwriter
Regarding this new musical endeavor, Anton Kabanen – guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for Beast In Black said, “The underlying themes that resonate profoundly from the interplay of light and shadow, angels and demons, good and evil, the carnal and the spiritual, are the elements that harmoniously unite the stylings and narratives of Diablo, Berserk, and Beast In Black.”
“In a poetic sense, this remarkable yet fitting collaboration feels as though this newfound and destined-to-be trifecta has been orchestrated by the God Hand itself.”
“On behalf of the Beast In Black team, we extend our deepest gratitude to the devoted teams at Blizzard, Berserk, and Nuclear Blast. Thank you for bringing this collaboration to life. And lastly, my personal acknowledgment and immense thanks go to Kentaro Miura.”
