The actress, who has been contending with multiple sclerosis, disclosed on Tuesday that her father, Robert “Bobby” Applegate, passed away at the age of 82. She revealed the news on her podcast this week, her voice fractured with emotion. She informed fellow MS sufferer and *Sopranos* star Jamie-Lynn Sigler that her father had died approximately seven days before the recording session.
