Talk Show Hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper Enjoy “Epic” Family Spring Break Getaway

Television personalities Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper recently embarked on a memorable family spring break vacation with their children. The Watch What Happens Live host, Cohen, 56, shared his enthusiasm for the trip on Instagram on Saturday, April 19, posting photos and videos documenting their adventures. “It was the ultimate family vacation. What a joy,” Cohen expressed in his social media caption.

Thrills at Disney World

Cohen documented a moment of exhilaration as he and Cooper, 57, rode the Tron Lightcycle Power Run, an indoor roller coaster at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, located in Bay Lake, Florida. Fans of amusement parks can be assured that the group’s Florida itinerary included visits to both Disney and its competitor, Universal Studios.

Daisy Duck Detente

Another endearing video shared by the Bravo host captured his 2-year-old daughter, Lucy, seemingly resolving a playful disagreement with Disney character Daisy Duck at one of the parks. Previously, in a January Instagram post, Cohen recounted a humorous exchange with Lucy where she initially described Daisy as “mean.”

“She’s not mean, she’s nice. She’s Daisy Duck,” Cohen had reassured her at the time, emphasizing, “They’re all nice. Mickey Mouse, all of them!”

However, the recent video confirmed a change of heart, with Lucy making peace with Daisy Duck. Interestingly, in the same encounter, Lucy apparently bypassed Minnie Mouse to embrace Daisy.

Friendship and Humor

“If Lucy & Daisy Duck can figure things out, I think we can spread this vibe to the Bravoverse,” Cohen quipped on Instagram. Danielle Olivera, an alum of Summer House, playfully commented that Daisy and Lucy’s reconciliation “should be played at every reunion” within the Bravo universe. Cheri Oteri, Cohen’s longtime friend and Saturday Night Live veteran, also expressed amusement at Lucy’s seeming dismissal of Minnie Mouse.

“[Omg] this SO cute!!!! She blew off Mini, I would too I heard she smokes,” Oteri wrote in a comment.

About Their Families

Cohen is a father of two, with a son Ben, 6, born in 2019, and daughter Lucy, 2, born in 2022. Cooper shares two sons with his ex-partner Benjamin Maisani: Wyatt Morgan Maisani-Cooper, 5, and Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper, 3.

Longstanding Friendship

Cooper and Cohen’s friendship dates back to the early 1990s, originating from a nearly arranged blind date. Cooper revealed on WWHL in 2016 that romantic involvement never materialized because Cohen violated a key personal principle early in their initial phone conversation.

“Andy and I were first set up on a blind date, which never happened because we had a phone call and after two minutes I said, ‘I’m not dating this guy,’” Cooper recounted. “He broke my cardinal rule … he mentioned my mom [Gloria Vanderbilt] within the first four sentences of meeting me.”

Beyond Romance, Into Adventure

While never romantically involved, the two television personalities have shared numerous experiences. Over the years, their families have celebrated several holidays together, notably Cohen and Cooper co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast annually on December 31st.

Cohen is expected to return from his Florida holiday soon, scheduled to co-host NBC’s Today show with Jenna Bush Hager in New York City on Tuesday, April 22nd.

Cohen’s Botox Confession

Prior to his vacation with Cooper, Cohen disclosed on WWHL on March 31st that he had recently received Botox injections. He admitted to Married to Medicine personality Dr. Contessa Metcalfe that he underwent the procedure “about a month ago,” marking his “first time in [his] life,” but clarified it was just “a little” Botox for his initial treatment.
