Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua recently suggested that the San Francisco 49ers should approach contract negotiations with Brock Purdy cautiously, particularly regarding a significant extension this offseason. Nacua Questions Purdy’s Top-Tier Salary Worth

Speaking on the ‘Games with Names’ podcast, hosted by former New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman, Nacua was directly asked if he believed Purdy warranted a contract exceeding $50 million annually.
Nacua’s Contract Valuation: Mid-$40 Million Range
“I don’t think so,” Nacua responded. He further clarified his position, stating that the 49ers signal-caller is not currently worthy of a contract valued at over $40 million per year.
“I think in the mid-$40 million range,” Nacua elaborated. “I think that’s appropriate. He seems like a smart player.”
He emphasized the financial implications, stating, “They have an opportunity to remain competitive. However, committing to a $50 million-plus contract could potentially diminish their chances to contend.”
