Elsayed stated, “The peril of Mr. Villatoro Santos being unlawfully deported by ICE without due process and removed to El Salvador, where he would almost certainly be immediately detained at one of the harshest prisons globally without any recourse to challenge his removal, is substantial.” He emphasized the government’s recent actions and public declarations in this particular case as exacerbating factors.
