Terrence Howard Alleges Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Made Sexual Advances

Actor Terrence Howard, known for his role in Empire, has voiced his belief that music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs propositioned him sexually. This assertion comes amidst a barrage of sexual abuse claims against Combs, who is currently detained awaiting trial on charges including sex trafficking. Combs has pleaded not guilty to these charges.

Howard Claims Diddy Solicited Acting Lessons as Pretext

Howard, 56, stated on the PBD Podcast with Patrick Bet-David that Diddy, also known as Puffy in the past, invited him repeatedly over several weeks under the guise of wanting acting coaching. According to Howard, these supposed coaching sessions devolved into uncomfortable encounters.

  • Howard alleges Diddy spent their meetings “just looking” at him instead of focusing on acting instruction.
  • He claims Diddy later extended an invitation, through an assistant, for Howard to “hang out” over a weekend.

Assistant’s Warning and Cut Off Communication

Howard recounted that his assistant intervened, suggesting, “I think he’s trying to f*** you.” Following this warning, the Empire star reportedly terminated all contact with Combs.

Howard’s “Man Card” and Rejection of Advances

Emphasizing the significance of maintaining his “man card,” Howard further alleged that he had rebuffed advances from other producers in the industry. He asserted that he responded to unwanted solicitations with threats of physical violence, stating he would “punch them in the mouth” or “knock their head off.”

Representatives for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have been contacted for comment regarding Howard’s allegations.

Recounting the Encounters with Diddy

Howard detailed his interactions with Diddy, explaining, “Puffy invited me for weeks, asking me to come and teach him how to – he wanted me to be his acting coach for a while.”

  • “Go there, and he’s sitting around just looking. I’m like: ‘Okay, what’s the material you wanna work on?’ He’s just looking at me,” Howard recounted.
  • He further claimed, “Then next thing you know, okay: ‘Hey, will you help me? I wanna hear your music.’ So I come over there and I’m playing the music. He’s sitting there just looking at me, like waiting. Okay. So then my assistant was like: ‘He wants to hang out with you next weekend.’ I was like: ‘For what?’ He’s like: ‘I think he’s trying to f*** you.'”

Howard stated this realization prompted him to cease communication, establishing boundaries with Combs.

Broader Allegations Against Hollywood Producers

Howard broadened his accusations, stating, “A number of producers come in and make the approach, and you threaten to punch them in the mouth, or threaten to knock their head off for talking to you like, or looking at you like you’re a woman.”

Howard’s Views on Masculinity and “Man Card”

Howard elaborated on his concept of masculinity, arguing, “When you approach a real man about his masculinity, you’re gonna get a real reaction back. It’s a difference when a guy walks in a room and when a man walks into a room, and a man don’t take the same things that a guy will accept.”

He advised listeners to “always be the man in the room,” asserting that this principle has sometimes led to business losses due to his refusal to compromise his values. Howard emphasized, “I don’t bend over in that way. I don’t compromise. I don’t play gay roles. I don’t kiss a man. I don’t do that s*** because the man card means everything.”

Past Controversies Surrounding Terrence Howard

Howard’s personal life has been marked by controversy. He has been married and divorced four times, including two marriages to his first wife, Lori McCommas, to whom he admitted to striking.

  • His second wife, Michelle Ghent, obtained two restraining orders against him on separate occasions, alleging physical abuse, allegations he has denied.
  • Ghent secured the second restraining order after appearing in court with an unexplained black eye, according to TMZ reports.

Howard Links Hollywood Compromises to Substance Abuse

In the interview, Howard suggested that some individuals in Hollywood resort to drug use as a consequence of compromising their personal integrity.

He argued, “when you give up your manhood, I’ve never seen somebody recover from it. That was all the people that went to the Puffy parties. That was all the people that did all those things, thinking that there was never gonna be a consequence for what they were doing. Get punked out and pimped out by some over-greater desire.”

Howard reiterated the importance of masculinity, stating, “You shouldn’t have a greater desire than being a man. So I believe that’s a big problem with a lot of the actors out there, because they get fluid, and next thing you know, once you go fluid, it’s gone. You don’t have any foundation to pull yourself back from. So maintain your man card no matter what.”

Howard’s Definition of “Man Card”

Expounding on his concept, Howard defined losing “your man card” as forfeiting “your ability, your right to being a man. A man don’t take it. A man gives it. So when you give up that man card, you don’t get that back.”

Howard concluded, “You come into this world as a man one time. You give up that right for anything – for fear of being hurt, fear of somebody doing something, for wanting to gain something – when you give up that man card right, you lose some spiritual energy that has always been pushing through.”
