Free Title Update 1 Arrives April 4

Scheduled for release on Friday, April 4, Title Update 1 will be available as a complimentary download, introducing a wealth of fresh content to enhance the Monster Hunter Wilds experience. Notably, this update marks the return of Mizutsune, the beloved Leviathan known for its mesmerizing bubble-based attacks, previously featured in Monster Hunter Rise.

  • Mizutsune Returns: Hunters who reach HR 21 can initiate a quest from Kanya in the Scarlet Forest to encounter and hunt this returning monster.
  • Arch-Tempered Monsters: Upon achieving HR 50, players in Title Update 1 will face Arch Tempered Rey Dau and Zoh Shia, offering the opportunity to acquire materials for crafting powerful new armor sets.

New Quest Types: Arena, Challenge, and Free Challenge

Prepare for new challenges with the introduction of three distinct quest types in Monster Hunter Wilds.

  • Arena Quests: Test your skills in restricted combat scenarios.
  • Challenge Quests: Face demanding monster hunts under specific conditions.
  • Free Challenge Quests: Engage in unrestricted hunts with full equipment and party options. These quests allow full parties to utilize their preferred gear and weaponry. Successful hunters can earn a spot on the Expedition Record Board, rewarding top performers with unique weapon charms.

The Grand Hub: A New Gathering Space

Title Update 1 also introduces the Grand Hub, a new social area reminiscent of communal spaces from previous Monster Hunter titles.

  • Social Hub: Players can congregate, engage in minigames, and strategize for upcoming hunts.
  • Activities: Enjoy series-favorite activities such as sharing communal meals, fishing, and barrel bowling.
  • Festival of Accord: Blossomdance: The Grand Hub will host the first seasonal event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, from April 23 to May 7. This festival will feature exclusive meals, limited-edition equipment, cosmetic items, and more, setting the stage for future seasonal celebrations.

Cosmetic DLC and Free Customization Options

Alongside Title Update 1, April 4 will also see the release of Cosmetic DLC Pack 1.

  • Cosmetic DLC Pack 1: This pack, available for separate purchase or included in the Cosmetic DLC Pass, offers new gestures, cosmetic armor sets, and expanded character customization choices.
  • New Paid Cosmetics: The in-game store will also feature additional paid cosmetic items beyond those in the DLC Pass.
  • Free Cosmetics: All players will receive complimentary cosmetic additions, including a new outfit for Alma and a set of classic gestures.

Future Updates Teased

Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds launches on April 4. Capcom has also hinted at another update expected in late May, with a more substantial title update planned for later this summer. Monster Hunter Wilds continues to build upon the foundations of Monster Hunter World, offering an enriched and evolving gameplay experience.
