He elaborated on the game’s intended atmosphere: “There’s a word we frequently use when discussing the game: ‘grotty.’ That’s the specific vibe we’re aiming for. It’s a delicate balance, as excessive ‘grottiness’ might repel players, while insufficient amounts might render the experience bland. We aim for a touch of unpleasantness in both the actions and the visual style to maintain player engagement.”
