PlayStation Plus Essential Games for April 2025: Line-up Set to be Unveiled
Sony is preparing to announce the next selection of PlayStation Plus Essential titles. The April 2025 PS Plus roster, featuring three games for PS4 and PS5, will be officially revealed at 3.30pm GMT on March 26. These new titles will be available for subscribers to download and play starting April 1.

Dragon Age The Veilguard was considered a surprising addition to the PS Plus service in March, particularly as it was released relatively recently in October.
This latest installment in the Dragon Age saga incorporates familiar BioWare gameplay mechanics, such as a branching narrative, dialogue options that impact the story, and a diverse cast of characters to recruit. The game is set in the fantasy realm of Thedas, where ancient deities threaten to unleash chaos.
Sony describes the game as follows:
“Unite the Veilguard and defy the gods in this immersive single-player RPG where you become the leader others believe in.
“Rise as Rook, Dragon Age’s newest hero. Be who you want to be and play how you want to play as you fight back and lead your team of seven companions, each with their own rich story. Together you will become The Veilguard.”
Alongside Dragon Age The Veilguard, March’s PS Plus line-up also features the SEGA platformer Sonic Colours and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.
The Cowabunga Collection includes 13 retro games from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Among them are the arcade classic Turtles in Time, and console releases like Hyperstone Heist and The Manhattan Project.
April 2025 PS Plus Predictions
Ahead of the official reveal, fans are actively speculating about the April 2025 PS Plus Essentials games.
On Reddit, in the recurring monthly predictions thread, several users have suggested that the 2D shooter Cuphead could be included in the PS Plus Essentials selection.
Other predicted titles include Need for Speed Unbound, Atomic Heart, Lords of the Fallen, Robocop, and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Furthermore, Lord of the Rings Return to Moria, Pacific Drive, F1 Manager 2024, NBA 2K25, EA Sports FC 25, and Stray have also been mentioned as possibilities.
Predictions for first-party titles encompass Death Stranding and Gran Turismo 7, with the former seeming more plausible, particularly given the upcoming sequel slated for release this summer.
