Lloyd Klein, the longtime companion of the late Jocelyn Wildenstein, has publicly shared his account of her death. The society figure, known for her extensive plastic surgery, passed away at the age of 84 while resting on the evening of New Year’s Eve.

Designer Recounts Tragic Discovery

Since their engagement in 2017, the couple had planned a quiet nap together before welcoming in the New Year. However, Klein’s plans were abruptly shattered when he found Wildenstein, who famously went by the nickname “Catwoman,” had suddenly passed away.

‘And she passed away in her sleep, in a peaceful manner,’ Klein told People. He recounted the tragic moment, stating that it was profoundly sad to lose his partner of 21 years so abruptly.

Tragic afterward The Events

Describing the festivities leading up to the tragedy, Klein mentioned that the pair had enjoyed a pleasant evening while preparing for the New Year’s celebrations. They had taken a brief rest to rejuvenate before dressing up for the festivities.

Cause of Death Confirmed

Klein disclosed that Wildenstein had phlebitis, a condition characterized by blood clots that can impede veins, typically in the legs. He revealed that this condition resulted in swollen legs and restricted blood flow, ultimately leading to the cessation of oxygen supply to the brain.

The fashion designer expressed his sorrow, reiterating the sudden and tragic nature of the loss. He emphasized that Wildenstein’s health had appeared excellent, with no indications of imminent danger.

Preceding Events:

Recalling their recent holiday activities, Klein noted that Wildenstein’s health had seemed impeccable. They had spent time in Paris, enjoying luxurious dinners and attending high-profile fashion events.

Just two days before her passing, they had dined at the renowned Ritz Paris, and Wildenstein had participated in a Chanel fashion show during Paris Fashion Week.

Klein highlighted that Wildenstein had been in high spirits, appearing radiant and enjoying her time in the public eye. She had been greeted warmly by paparazzi and had attended various social events, relishing her time in Paris.

Wildenstein, formerly known for her immense wealth and love for cosmetic enhancements, succumbed to a pulmonary embolism on Tuesday, December 31st, in Paris.
