The Umbrella Academy fans all say the same thing about emotional trailer for final season

The Umbrella Academy fans are all getting emotional about a touching detail in the newly released trailer for the fourth and final season.

Netflix’s hit supernatural drama will be released next month and picks up with Viktor Hargreeves (played by Elliot Page) and the family powerless and lost in a rebuilt universe.

Once again, the clock is ticking down to oblivion and the trailer opens with Viktor calling his brother Ben (Justin H Min) with an ominous warning.

The Hargreeves then begrudgingly team up one last time to save the world, while picking up some new powers along the way.

However, newcomer Nick Offerman’s mysterious character seems to have his sights set on domination and believes Ben “is the key to understanding all the timelines”.

Fans have been blown away by the new footage and all can’t wait to see the final showdown to prevent armageddon on August 8.

The trailer has also served as a sweet tribute to The Umbrella Academy’s original creator, My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, who wrote the original comic book series and serves as executive producer on the show.

Several viewers remarked on the fitting decision to set the trailer to his band’s hit song The End.

“The fact that this is the final season and the song they chose is “The End” by MCR…. Man I’m not ready to cry…” one viewer commented on YouTube.

A third fan explained: “For anyone wondering, the song is The End by My Chemical Romance, whose frontman Gerard Way created the Umbrella Academy comics.

“It’s the opening track on The Black Parade, one of the greatest emo albums of all time.”

“OMG you just KNOW Gerard has been sitting on The End for YEEEEEARS waiting for this chance. Perfection,” a fourth Umbrella Academy enthusiast said.

One X (formerly Twitter) user said: “The song. I’m so emotional I can’t say goodbye.”

And on Reddit, another commented: “God, that MCR soundtrack gave me so many goosebumps. Been waiting for Gerard to stamp his own music on the series about his own comics.”

If the final season lives up to the emotional new trailer, The Umbrella Academy could go down as one of Netflix’s most beloved shows of all time.

The Umbrella Academy season 4 releases Thursday, August 8 on Netflix.
