'Drunk driver,' 27, accused of killing student, 19, drank $8.75 'BARKARITA' at dog park with bar with her pet husky TEQUILA before horror smash

A ‘drunk driver’ accused of killing a sophomore student after running a red light admitted drinking a margarita at a dog park before the horror smash – with her husky called tequila.

Lynlee Pollis, 27, has been charged with running through a red light in her Lexus and smashing into the car of Honor Elizabeth Wallace, 19, at 4.10pm on Sunday.

The operations analyst admitted to officers that she had ‘one margarita’ at Mutts Canine Cantina in Dallas’ West Village before the crash.

Pollis said she had the $8.75 drink – dubbed a ‘Barkarita’ by the dog park and bar – with her husky Tequila Fontaine.

She reportedly had ‘glassy eyes, slurred speech’ and smelled of alcohol when interviewed by officers in hospital.

An arrest warrant affidavit obtained by Fox 4 said that Pollis had taken medication for her ADHA before the incident.

Authorities confirmed to DailyMail.com that Pollis was released from Dallas County Jail on Wednesday after paying her $100,000 bond.

She has been charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle and intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle after smashing her car into Wallace’s.

Pollis’ social media says that she’s ‘obsessed’ with her husky, who was in the car with her at the time of the crash, while studying hospitality management at the University of Kentucky.

The blonde was part of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and happily posed with bottles of champagne, tequila, beer and wine while jetting around Europe.

Her social media is littered with pictures of the dog, including one of the pup ‘drinking’ wine.

She collided with Wallace’s vehicle after allegedly running a red light at 4.20pm at the exit of Monticello Avenue and State Highway 75 in Dallas.

Wallace and her friend, who was a passenger in the car, were rushed to hospital where the university student died. Her friend is in a stable condition but suffered a broken collarbone.
