The Mormon mommy blogger accused of abusing her children had police called on her home on two occasions by concerned relatives and neighbors, according to bombshell police reports.
Ruby Franke, 41, made a living lecturing about strict parenting, all while allegedly abusing her children. She was arrested last week after one of her sons was discovered with open wounds and duct tape on his wrists and ankles.
Long before the sickening charges were brought against Franke and her podcast partner Jodi Hildebrandt, her family first landed on cops’ radar after her kids were caught running out into the road in April of 2022, according to police records first reported by People.
This was followed by another visit that August, when Franke’s eldest daughter Shari urged police to make a welfare check on the family home in Springville, Utah, over fears her siblings had been abandoned in the house for almost a week.
After the YouTube blogger was charged with six counts of felony child abuse, she made wild and shocking claims that one of her minor children sexually abused a sibling and other children in their neighborhood.

Franke’s eldest daughter Shari (red coat) reportedly urged cops to make a welfare check on the family home in Utah in August 2022 through fears for her younger siblings
According to the police reports, Shari made the phone call to Utah police after she was notified by a neighbor that her younger siblings had been left alone in their home for around five days.
She reportedly said her mom was with Hildebrandt, whose home in Irvins, Utah was allegedly escaped from by Franke’s 12-year-old son Russell last month after he fled out of a window and ran to a neighbor’s house pleading for food and water.
After Shari called for the Springville Police Department to check on her mother’s home, the reporting officer said: ‘(She) asked that we check on the kids and make sure that they were safe and had food for the extended period.’
The police report said that the officer received no answer when he knocked on the door, and ‘the kids were seen through the windows but would not answer the door.’
After her mother’s arrest, Shari celebrated the moment as she said she had been ‘trying to tell the police and CPS for years about this.’ She also shared an image of their home on Instagram captioned: ‘Finally.’
It remains unclear why more decisive action was not taken, as her previous attempt to call police onto the home also saw the officer on the scene speak with concerned neighbors when the children would not answer the door.
The Springville Police Department has been contacted for comment.
The reporting officer said neighbors claimed ‘the mother of the residence, Ruby Franke, will leave her children home for extended periods of time and go to St. George and spend time with her friend Jodi Hildebrandt.’
‘Everyone who came to the scene was very concerned about the children and them being left at home alone,’ the report said.
‘They expressed great concern about the two youngest children being homeschooled while the two older ones go to public school.
‘Mostly because it shows they are home alone during the day by themselves and there isn’t any way for them to contact emergency services if needed, due to them not having phones and a landline not being available in the home.’

According to KSL, the police department assisted Utah’s Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) on three further occasions. The Springville Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for further details when contacted by DailyMail.com.
The other occasion police were called to the home was months earlier in April 2022, when a case worker with the DCFS contacted police after ‘she was made aware of two kids running out in the road unsupervised,’ the police report claimed.
When an officer arrived, they did not report seeing any children in the street.
In a stunning turn following her arrest, Franke claimed via video from a Utah jail on Friday that one of her minor children sexually abused their sibling and molested several other family members and children in the neighborhood over the years.
But according to the police reports, Franke herself called police twice in 2020 after claiming to receive threatening messages about exposing her twisted family life.
In one incident, on April 27, 2020, she told police that she was sent ‘a text message from somebody stating they were going to take her family down and there will be riots at their door when the world finds out the truth.’
Ruby Franke’s husband Kevin listened in court Thursday as his wife made wild allegations about their children
The Mormon blogger broke down in tears as she made wild allegations – without providing evidence – about her own children following her arrest on child abuse charges.
Seeming to pin the blame for her behavior on her children, Franke went into horrific detail about how one of her six kids abused other children.
She claimed that one of the Franke kids began looking at pornography at just three-years old.
In one of the most shocking claims, Franke said said that her child had been sexually abusing a younger sibling for years, adding that eventually the two of them began to abuse other children.
She also claimed her two children played a ‘patting’ game with each other, but did not go into further detail.
Franke said that in May her child confessed to sexually abusing 20 people, including cousins and neighbors.

One of Franke’s relatives also spoke out following the YouTuber’s arrest, claiming that the ‘disgusting’ child abuse case is ‘bigger than people know.’
An unnamed cousin claimed that abusing children, being physical, and withholding food is something that has been a ‘multi-generational’ problem in the Franke family in a concealed interview with Law & Crime.
‘I’m not shocked. It’s not a shock at all. The direction in which it went was not what I thought, but from which it came was to be expected,’ they said.
‘I wasn’t expecting some of the details in that story to line up with details in my own family history.
‘My mother handcuffed my sisters when they were young, and a lack of food wasn’t uncommon, but it wasn’t out of the lack of money and there was a time when it could have been prevented and it wasn’t.’
‘All I can say is my mother did duck tape my siblings. I’m not shocked.’
Asked when was the last time they saw Ruby, they said: ‘When I was very young, it was a long time ago. Over 15 years ago.’
