Emmerdale viewers 'work out' unlikely love triangle which tears couples apart

Emmerdale viewers are convinced Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins), Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) will become embroiled in a love triangle.

It comes after Charity slept with her ex Mack but felt rejected after he crawled back to Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) who is the mother of his son Reuben.

ITV soap spoilers have revealed Charity is set to go on a date with Liam in upcoming scenes, so will matters get complicated between the duo and Mack?

One Reddit user suggested: “So apparently Mack has unfinished business with Charity in the coming months, Charity is going to go on a date with Liam, I think initially Charity will use Liam but will get real feelings for him.

“And why wouldn’t she? Liam is successful, Mack is basically a grease monkey earning a low wage. Why would Charity go back to supporting him?”

Predicting Chloe could die in a twist during Super Soap Week, they added: “If Chloe dies, then it’ll be Mack in a situation where he’s hopeful that Charity will help him raise Reuben, she says no and commits to Liam, leading to the Liam, Charity and Mack triangle in 2024.”

Another viewer added: “I think a lot of people think the love triangle will be Mack, Chloe and Charity but I think it will be Liam, Charity and Mack.”

A third shared: “I’m actually quite rooting for the idea of Liam and Charity too, especially after last night with Mack.”

Emmerdale fans will recall Charity discovered Mack had cheated on her shortly after they tied the knot at St Mary’s Church.

She thought Chloe was pregnant with another man’s child and was mortified to learn Mack was Reuben’s real father.

Charity ended her relationship with Mack following his betrayal and has been brokenhearted for months.

However, could she and Liam’s romance blossom in upcoming scenes following their date?

Perhaps Mack will get green-eyed with envy and want Charity back after seeing her smitten with Liam.

Chloe would be left heartbroken if Mack left her and Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson), who was having an affair with Liam, may also feel hurt seeing the doctor with Charity.

Wendy is trying to make her relationship with Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) work, but does she still have feelings for Liam?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
