David Beckham and Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo lead the celebrations as Inter Miami reach first EVER cup final with 4-1 Leagues Cup win over Philadelphia Union
David Beckham took to social media to speak of his pride after Lionel Messi led Inter Miami to the team’s first ever cup final this weekend.
Messi scored a stunning 35-yeard goal as Inter Miami won 4-1 on the road to Philadelphia Union to reach the Leagues Cup final – Josef Martinez, Jordi Alba and David Ruiz were also on the scoresheet.
Miami co-owner David Beckham wasn’t there on Tuesday night but his thoughts were only in one place after his team recorded a famous and impressive victory.
‘Another amazing night in pink. What a moment for OUR team, OUR fans, OUR club. First final in our history, SO PROUD,’ Beckham wrote, punctuation his post with some pink and black hearts in tribute to the team colors.
Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, also stayed at home but after the victory was confirmed, she shared her husband’s social media post congratulating his team with three ‘strong arm’ emojis.
For Messi himself, his goal in Tuesday’s win takes his Miami tally to an incredible nine after only six games for his new team.
