Carol Kirkwood has given an update about her relationship ahead of her wedding to BBC Radio 2 listeners.
Speaking to Zoe Ball, the BBC Breakfast star said: “I write all over the place.
“Most of my ideas come when I’m out walking and I’m out with my other half, Steve. We’ll bounce ideas around.”
She continued: “Sometimes he’ll come up with something and I’ll think, ‘That’s really good but it wouldn’t work with this character…’
“But then it’s sparked something else so I get my phone out and I just dictate into my phone or I’ll dictate into my laptop. Saves all the writing.”
The popular presenter is yet to set a date for her wedding, according to reports.
In an interview with Yours Magazine, she shared: “I think it will be a small, intimate wedding and maybe we’ll have a party afterwards.”
Carol, 61, announced her engagement to Steve last year as they had been dating for some time.
Steve’s a police officer and fitness lover who is 13 years younger than Carol.
The 47-year-old split with his ex-wife back in 2017 before finding love again with the Scottish presenter.
Opening up about her engagement to Hello! Carol explained: “It was a lovely, sunny day and we had taken a picnic with us, and we were sitting by the river, watching the boats going by.
“I turned to say, ‘What’s wrong?’ He was on his knee, and he proposed.
“At first, I thought he was joking, but he said, ‘No no, I really do mean it, Will you marry me?’ I said, ‘Yes!! Of course!'”
The engagement announcement sparked a fan frenzy at the time, with hundreds of BBC Breakfast viewers congratulating Carol.
BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One between 6am and 9am.
