Tori Kelly has told fans issues regarding her health are still to be uncovered as she broke her silence today.
Her statement comes after it was reported earlier this week that she was in hospital with “really serious” blood clots around her vital organs.
TMZ claimed that the 30-year-old was having dinner out with her friends in Los Angeles, California, when her heart began beating faster than usual.
She is then said to have been passed out “for a while” as she was driven to the hospital.
On Instagram today, Tori thanked her fans for their support and addressed her health woes for the first time.
She began by saying she had been “dealing with some unexpected health challenges”.
Tori continued: “It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and I can’t stop thinking about you.
“I’m feeling stronger an hopeful, but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover.”
The singer went on to say she was “grateful” for the amazing doctors and nurses who had been looking after her and acknowledged that her “health must come first”.
Additionally, Tori said she was “heartbroken” about not being able to do things she had planned, but promised fans her new EP would still be released tomorrow.
“I love you all so much and I truly overwhelemed by all of the love and care I have received.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she concluded.
Many of Tori’s 4.2 million have sent their well wishes in the comments section.
Girl group Flo commented: “Praying for your healing Tori.”
