Holly Willoughby is a 'two-faced horror' and should be sacked, fumes Kim Woodburn

TV personality Kim Woodburn launched another withering attack on beleaguered This Morning host Holly Willoughby after the 42-year-old fronted the show for the first time after the departure of Phillip Schofield.

Alongside new temporary co-host Josie Gibson, Willoughby gave a direct address to the camera, explaining how she felt she had been “let down” by her former co-presenter “not telling the truth”, claiming she’d been left “shaken and troubled”, before thanking viewers for their kindness and support.

But motor-mouthed Woodburn was having none of it, once again calling Willoughby “a bitch” as she was interviewed by Dan Wootton on GB News.

When he asked her: “Did you believe what Holly had to say this morning?”, she replied: “Absolutely not, she’s one little bitch.

“Why did she have to mention that he told lies? It’s been done and said, he’s lost his job.

“Why is she rubbing it in? She should be fired.”

Wootton then remarked: “But she said she didn’t know, Kim. How can you prove that she knew?”

Woodburn answered: “But what did she know? To be fair to Phillip, if a man is the right age, what has he got to apologise for? So until we know, we can’t say much really, can we?

“He’s had an affair as a gay gentleman, with a gay man.”

When asked why she had such a problem with Willoughby, Woodburn responded: “Look, I’ve worked with Holly, I’ve been on the sofa with them three or four times. I never liked the way she behaved and I never liked the way she opted out of everything – I couldn’t stand it.”

TV commentator and former contestant on The Apprentice, Joanna Jarjue, though, believes Willoughby could well have saved ITV’s This Morning with her speech: “I think it was right for her to address the elephant in the room – if she hadn’t said anything and everything was all sunshine and rainbows, it would have shown a lack of respect for the viewers.

“It’s been the biggest news story for the entire week and I think Holly said just about enough. She addressed the fact Phillip did lie and she didn’t go further than that as, realistically, that is his biggest crime.

“I think by the time she comes back from the summer holidays, the viewers will have forgotten about it, as long as she keeps her head down and distances herself from Phillip.”

Veteran journalist and broadcaster David Atherton sided with Woodburn, also weighing in heavily on Willoughby.

He said: “I don’t think I’ve watched a more fake, vomit-inducing segment on TV. It really was horrible.

“Holly Willoughby was friends with Phillip Schofield for 17 years – they went on holiday together, they had Sunday lunch together – and she’s quite happy to throw him under the bus and display her narcissism and save her career at the expense of him.

“If I was Holly Willoughby, I would have said, ‘Phillip Schofield is my friend, I’m sticking up for him, sack me as well’.

“It was horrible, all this fakery.”

The final word went to Woodburn, who again called Willoughby “a bitch”, before concluding: “You know what tickles me? She lied and still lies to this day about the Queen lying in state.

“And as Phillip lied, are you going to apologise because you lied Holly, you little angel? She sat there this morning and said that Phillip lied. You lie, you lie all the time.

“She’s boring and I’ll tell you something, without Phillip – and I know he could be nasty – it’s going to be a very boring show as she’s got nothing to say, she’s a two-faced horror.”
