Elton John snapped during a ski trip to Aspen

The sprawling 10-bedroom property is located just a five-minute walk from the famed Little Nell ski resort beloved by a spread of celebrities including Elton John and Kylie Kardashian

Letting agent Shane told DailyMail.com that the real highlight of the home is that it ‘provides the best ski access on Aspen Mountain.’

He acknowledged to the Wall Street Journal the $100million asking price was too high.

‘The $100 million price was warranted, but it was an aspirational ask,’ Shane said.

It sits just a few hundred yards from the Aspen Mountain Gondola with true ski-in, ski-out access.

On the property market front, Shane says Aspen has managed to remain sheltered from poor economic winds due to a limited inventory when it comes to properties.

The current record in terms of sales price in the area was set in June 2021, when hockey player-turned-entrepreneur Patrick Dovigi paid $72.5million for an 11-bedroom mansion on Red Mountain, overlooking downtown Aspen.

In May 2022, Texas oil heir Christy Thompson sold a mansion close to the center of downtown Aspen for $60million. The deal was off-market.

Meanwhile, fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger flipped his ski-in, ski-out Aspen home for $50million in March 2022, just three months after purchasing it for $30.95million.
