Mr Clifford said he travelled with five people for a 12-day trip to the popular island and despite the chaotic scenes, he said he otherwise had an “amazing” holiday in Tenerife.
He shared two videos that were uploaded to his TikTok page where they have been viewed more than 5,000 times and received dozens of comments.
One, called Maria, said: “So typical here in Tenerife.” Peaches wrote: “Oh my God. Hideous.”
Another added: “I was there a few years ago. Was nightmare, we paid weekly for beds and some days we couldn’t get one.
“Wasn’t good having to get up to go queue, run round the pool and pay.”
A fellow holidaymaker added: “We were there this Easter, the sunbed dash was even busier then.
“Sunbed battles’ at popular Tenerife resorts are very common during the summer months, however some hotels do not allow guests to reserve sunbeds with a strategically-placed towel.”
