Australian Miss Universe finalist dies aged 23 after several weeks on life support

A 23-year-old Aussie model has tragically died after being on life support for several weeks following what is understood to be a horse riding accident. Sienna Weir’s family confirmed that a decision was made to turn her off life support, with her loved ones paying tribute to the “angel” who will be dearly missed. It is believed that the model from Sydney suffered a serious accident while horseback riding.

Family and friends flooded her last Instagram post, which was shared in April, with messages of condolence.

Her agency, Scoop Management, also shared several photos of the model, stating that she will “always be remembered”.

Her partner Tom Bull stated: “We loved with a love that was more than love.”

A friend wrote: “Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel today. I’ll miss everything about you Siena, I love you.

“I’m so lucky to have known you. Thank you for everything.”

“Miss you much lil gremlin,” one pal said while another heartbroken friend commented: “Rest in peace angel.”

Scoop Management, her agency, posted a video featuring a collection of photos of the 23-year-old and said: “Forever in our hearts.”

Photographer Chris Dwyer also honoured Sienna’s memory and character, describing her as a “kind soul”.

He said: “You were one of the kindest souls in the world, you lit up the room and the world is a lot darker now that you are gone.

“Hope wherever you are, you’re being the gremlin we all know and love. Miss you so much already.”

Ms Weir held a double degree in English literature and psychology from Sydney University and had plans to move to London to be with her family while growing her professional and social connections.

She was also one of the finalists in the Australian Miss Universe pageant in 2022.

In an earlier interview with Gold Coast Magazine, she talked about her passion for horse riding.
