Daicos’ incredible performance on Anzac Day was one of many in his impressive second season, which has seen him average 35 disposals a game and become the  favourite to win the Brownlow Medal with TAB, ahead of Melbourne’s Clayton Oliver and Western Bulldog Marcus Bontempelli.

Daicos began his career with Collingwood in 2022 after being drafted with pick 4 under the father–son rule.

He is the son of former Collingwood star Peter Daicos and his brother Josh has also been drafted by the ‘Pies.

In his first season with Collingwood, Daicos played in 22 of the team’s 23 games and finished the season with an average of 23.5 disposals per game.

Daicos quickly established himself as a leader on the team, despite his young age, earning the AFLPA Best First Year Player Award, the AFL Rising Star Award and was named in the 22under22 team.
