After just under a year on the market, Amy Schumer has sold her New York apartment for $13 million.

The comedian listed the Upper West Side penthouse for $15 million in May last year, and it has reportedly been snapped up at a discounted price by composer and lyricist Benj Pasek.

Alongside his songwriting partner Justin Paul, Pasek has scored shows and movies such as The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen – and won an Academy Award for his work on La La Land in 2017.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Schumer has relocated to a $12.25 million Brooklyn Heights Townhouse which featured in the iconic 1987 film Moonstruck.

Records show Schumer originally bought the five-bedroom Manhattan apartment in 2016 for $12.15 million, the outlet reports.

The beautiful and sunny unit is at the top of a prewar building on Riverside Drive built in Beaux-Arts style.

Largely enclosed in glass, it has unparalleled views over the Hudson River and 3,000 square feet of outdoor space – including wraparound terraces and a private rooftop garden.

Schumer reportedly said the home was her ‘dream apartment’ and that moving in was ‘a big deal’. ‘It felt like such a palace,’ she said.

A private elevator opens into the well-lit main room, which is flanked by huge foldaway glass doors opening out onto the wraparound terrace.

The stunning kitchen features a breakfast bar, marble countertops, stainless steel details and bright blue painted cabinets.

The master bedroom boasts a walk-in closet and a white marble ensuite bathroom with a six-foot soaking tub and separate steam shower.

Schumer, who known for her roles in films such as I Feel Pretty and Snatched, reportedly said in 2022 that she wanted to sell the apartment to be closer to her son’s school.

The comedian has a three-year-old son Gene David Fischer with her husband, chef and farmer Chris Fischer.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the family have moved to a four-story Brooklyn brownstone, which was featured in the 1987 movie Moonstruck starring Nicolas Cage and Cher.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home was once owned by architect Edward Rullman, who was pivotal in the movement to designate the Brooklyn Heights Historic District.

The 26-foot-wide brick house, built in the early 19th century, has many of the period details such as fireplaces with original marble mantels and a wood-lined library, alongside new amenities like a gym and wine cellar.
