Yankees star Aaron Judge goes off injured on his birthday, hurting right arm diving for stolen base

Aaron Judge RETURNS to the Yankees dugout after going off injured on his birthday, but appears to have to hurt his right hand diving for a stolen base against Minnesota Twins

The New York Yankees are nervously waiting over the status of their star slugger and captain Aaron Judge after he appeared to hurt himself while diving for a stolen base on Wednesday, even though he returned to the team’s dugout shortly afterwards.

Judge landed awkwardly as he tried to slide into third while Anthony Rizzo was at-bat for the Yankees. He ultimately failed to get there in time, though he immediately got back on his feet, running down the tunnel while appearing to clutch his right arm.

No. 99 sustained the injury, which has yet to be diagnosed by the Yankees’ medical staff, in the second inning of Wednesday’s game against the Twins in the Bronx.

Judge also appeared to have hurt himself on the day of his 31st birthday.

Fortunately for home fans, their star player returned an inning after he hurt himself.

Judge appeared to fiddle with his pinky while watching his teammates play out on the field at the top of the third.
