Dillon Brooks is EJECTED for hitting LeBron James below the belt in Game 3 following pair's beef

Dillon Brooks is EJECTED for hitting LeBron James below the belt in Game 3 – just days after the Memphis star called his Lakers rival ‘old’

Grizzlies wing Dillon Brooks was ejected from Game 3 vs. the Lakers Saturday night after hitting LeBron James in the groin seconds into the third quarter.

James was hit below the belt by Brooks as he brought the ball up the court, and immediately went down in pain.

Referees reviewed the foul and ultimately gave Brooks a flagrant two foul, disqualifying him from the contest.

The incident comes after a contentious week between the pair, as Brooks was seen staring down James after hitting a late three-pointer in Memphis’ Game 2 win.

‘You know, I poke bears,’ he said after the game. ‘I don’t respect someone until they come and give me 40.

Brooks was jeered in warmups Saturday by the LA crowd, with fans cheering when he missed shots, but James declined to involve himself in the drama before the game.

‘I don’t wanna talk about it this morning,’ the Lakers’ No. 6. said Friday.

‘Tomorrow’s gonna be a great game. I’m not here for the bulls***. I’m ready to play and that’s it.

However, James and Brooks were seen chatting pregame, with the Lakers star shaking his head and grinning menacingly at his rival.

The Lakers jumped out to a 26-point lead after the first quarter, as they led 35-9.

Brooks had seven points on 3-13 shooting before leaving the game.
