Danielle Spencer, 53, and Russell Crowe, 59, tied the knot on April 7, 2003, and welcomed two boys, Charles, 19, and Tennyson, 16, before separating in 2012 and divorcing in 2018.
The amicable break-up saw the two Hollywood stars remaining friends ever since, proven as Danielle shared a touching post.
Taking to Instagram today, Danielle shared a throwback snap, in sepai tones, of Russell playing and laughing with his two, then young, boys.
She wrote alongside: “Twenty years ago today, I married the father of my boys.
“While it is no longer our anniversary, it is still that guy’s birthday. Happy Birthday Russell Crowe.”

The pair were an adorable Hollywood It couple for years, with fans distraught over news of their separation in 2012.
During the six years between their initial separation and divorce, Russell sparked rumours when he told The Sunday Times in 2015 that he would never stop loving Danielle.
He said: “I’ve loved Danielle Spencer since 1989 – that’s never going to change – and that’s one of those things where I stare at her and go, ‘How did this fail?’ I still can’t work it out, because my feelings for her have never changed.”
After their divorce was finalised, Danielle spoke to Daily Mail Australia to share an insight in their evolving relationship saying: “We catch up when we can. We’re a divided family so when we can see each other, that’s lovely.
“But I have my life going on and he has his life going on.”
The pair have both moved on since their divorce, as Danielle is dating author Adam Long while the Gladiator star has made headlines with his 32-year-old girlfriend Britney Theriot.
In November last year, Russell had to publicly dismiss rumours that he had married Britney while the pair were vacationing in Italy the month before.
During the Italian getaway, fans believed they spotted the actress wearing a ring on her wedding fingers, sparking the initial rumours.
However, speaking to 2Day FM radio station, host Erin Molan explained that she had contacted the actor directly prior to their interview to congratulate him on the news.
At the time, the Noah star was incredibly confused and insisted: “We are not married.”
