Ukraine LIVE: Putin and his Wagner thugs lose ‘substantial manpower in Bakhmut fight’

Russia’s state-owned news agency Tass has just reported on the planned spring conscription in Russia, quelling fears of a second wave of mobilisation. The general staff of the armed forces of the Russian Federation has stated that there are no plans for such an event.

Vladimir Tsimlyansky, head of the main organisational and mobilisation directorate of the general staff, has assured the public that the conscription will take place at the usual time, from April 1 to July 15, and will affect 147,000 Russians aged 18 to 27. He stated that those who have already been called up for military service, as well as those who have voluntarily expressed a desire to participate, are enough to fulfil the assigned tasks.

Tass also reported that the conscripts will not be sent to the territories of Ukraine that Russia has claimed to annex, nor will recruitment be carried out in those occupied territories. Instead, all conscripts will be sent for military service to points of permanent deployment located on the territory of the Russian Federation.
