Five signings Thomas Frank could make at Tottenham as Daniel Levy makes decision

Ivan Toney

It’s hard to conceive how Brentford manage to keep hold of Ivan Toney this summer, but Tottenham also have similar questions over Harry Kane’s future for next season. If Kane does end up pushing for a move away, Tottenham won’t have to look much further than Toney as the ideal replacement.

The 27-year-old has been scoring goals for fun now for several seasons with Frank helping mould him into a top-class striker. With the money Tottenham would potentially get from Kane’s sale, signing Toney would still leave plenty of change to bolster other areas of the squad.

David Raya

Signing a goalkeeper this summer will be a top priority for Tottenham and David Raya has already been touted as a potential target. He currently tops the Premier League charts for most saves and is commanding in the box when balls are coming in from the wide areas.

The Spaniard won’t come cheap with Brentford fully aware of interest from several clubs all over Europe. But Frank was the man who gave Raya his chance at making it in the Premier League and could play a key role in helping Tottenham win the battle for his signature if he takes over.

Kristoffer Ajer

Tottenham’s defensive unit will also be in need of an overhaul in the summer with reports suggesting two centre-backs could be targeted. An experienced option will be needed, but Tottenham are also set to target a young centre-back and 24-year-old Ajer has impressed as a back-up option at Brentford this season.

Having fallen down the pecking order since last year, Ajer could end up angling for a move away and he would potentially be a cut-price option in the market.

Mathias Jensen

In midfield, Tottenham are in need of bringing in more creativity going forward and Mathias Jensen would certainly provide that. The 27-year-old has added goals to his game this year with five in the Premier League as well as providing four assists.

No Tottenham midfielder can better those Premier League stats this season, making him the ideal target to bolster their depth.

Bryan Mbeumo

It’s a lack of depth in attack which has cost Tottenham dearly this season with both Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski only managing two goals apiece. Mbeumo has shown what he’s capable of with big performances against both United and Liverpool and he’s built a strong partnership with Toney in attack.

At just 23 years old, Mbeumo still has room for improvement, making him the ideal attacking target for Tottenham this summer.
