This is the bizarre moment a family walked into their living room and found a man asleep on their sofa.

The uninvited guest apparently broke into the family’s home in Coomera, on the Gold Coast of Australia, early on Sunday.

Footage showed him splayed across the cushions, with his arms akimbo and jeans pulled down to reveal his undies.

The homeowner can be heard on the phone in the background providing a description of the man.

The video was aired on 9 News Gold Coast and quickly took off on social media.

Some thought it was likely the man had stumbled into the wrong house after a big night out.

But others like Darren Beale did not see the funny side, commenting: ‘Might be a funny video but the fact is an unknown intruder broke into and entered a family’s home.’

But Leffal Lee joked: ‘Bet he ate all the porridge.’

A local called Kashmir said it was a common occurrence in Coomera, stating: ‘Can confirm this is very true to Coomera.’

In another bizarre home break-in, a trespasser in the US started mowing the lawn in April 2022.

Marcus Renard Hubbard allegedly made his way into the home as part of an April Fool’s Day prank.

Security footage showed him pushing the lawn mower alongside the home’s garden fence.

Queensland Police said ‘Police attended and removed the man from the residence.’

‘The home owner did not want to proceed with a complaint.’ The man was not charged.
