Harrison Ford, 80, catches himself as he nearly TRIPS out of his own private jet in Los Angeles

Harrison Ford was spotted stepping out of his own private jet and seemingly caught himself from tripping down the stairs after landing in Los Angeles on Friday.

The Shrinking actor, 80, who has previously been seen flying the Cessna 680 airplane which he both owns and pilots himself, opted for stylish comfort as he exited the sleek aircraft.

The star, who reunited with his Indiana Jones co-star, Ke Huy Quan, at the 2023 Oscars earlier Sunday, donned a light blue, long-sleeved button that was tucked into a pair of dark blue jeans that were secured with a black belt around the waist.

He slipped into a pair of dark gray shoes that were tightened with laces to stay comfortable amid his busy schedule.

As the Star Wars alumnus made his way down the steps of the jet, he balanced a large, black backpack and a jacket in each of his hands.

After exiting the aircraft, Harrison was soon spotted loading a few bikes onto the back of a vehicle before heading towards his next destination.

Ford has been an avid pilot for years, despite experiencing a few terrifying incidents in the past, such as an emergency landing in 2000, and a near-fatal crash that occurred in March 2015 at a Santa Monica golf course.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month in February, the star recalled the accident when flying a vintage World War II plane, which resulted in him garnering multiple injuries, including a shattered pelvis and a broken back.

After he revealed that his wife, Calista Flockhart, does not fly in vintage planes with him since the incident, the actor added, ‘I certainly don’t want to have to recover from that kind of accident again.’

‘It was really hard on my family and it was hard on me. I went back to flying. I know what happened. So that’s part of the reason [I went back],’ he explained.

‘There was a mechanical issue with the airplane I could not have known about or attended to in any way. So in the words of the great philosopher Jimmy Buffett: S*** happens.’

According to GQ, the Cessna Citation 680 plane that Harrison was seen exiting on Friday, was purchased by the actor back in 2009 and is priced around $18 million.

The aircraft requires two pilots to fly the plane, and can seat up to a maximum of 12 passengers.

Earlier on Sunday, Harrison was dapper in a classic black suit as he attended the 95th Academy Awards where he presented Best Picture to Everything Everywhere All At Once.

The star had the chance to also reunite with his former Indiana Jones co-star, Ke Huy Quan, who was also the recipient of Best Supporting Actor during the annual ceremony.

Ford and Quan could be seen sharing a heartfelt embrace on the stage after the 1923 actor announced the winner of the biggest award of the night.

The two had starred in Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom back in 1984, which is the second film in the popular franchise.

The Goonies star recalled the special moment when talking to Variety earlier this month and recalled when Harrison, ‘opened that envelope and read the title, it made our win for best picture even more special.’

‘And when I ran up onstage, I pointed at him and he pointed back at me and I gave him a hug,’ Ke Huy Quan remembered.

‘I just couldn’t help myself. I just want to shower this man with all my love. I gave Harrison Ford a big kiss on the cheek.’

Harrison will soon appear on the big screen once again as he reprises one of his most iconic roles in Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, which is slated to premiere in theaters later this year on June 30.

Along with Ford, other stars who were cast in the project include Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Walker-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renee Wilson.

Although most plot details of the film remain under wraps, the fifth movie in the franchise is set to be Ford’s final time playing the archeologist. Unlike the other films, the project was not directed by Steven Spielberg, but instead by James Mangold.

James is known for working behind the camera on movies such as Logan (2017), Ford v Ferrari (2019), Girl, Interrupted (1999), and also Walk The Line (2005).

When talking about his character in the upcoming film, he also told The Hollywood Reporter last month, ‘What I love is that we’re meeting him at a different point in his life to where we’ve seen him in these other films.’

‘It’s a logical place for him to be at this stage, considering his behavior and what he spent his time doing. It’s a very interesting script Jim came up with,’ referencing to the director James, who co-penned the script with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth.

Harrison has also stepped into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and has been cast as Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross in Captain America: New World Order, replacing William Hurt who passed away last year in March.

With the movie still in its early pre-production stages, a set release date has yet to be announced, but is slated to premiere in 2024.
