Ahead of the upcoming season, Outlander’s showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts, discussed what the opening title sequence reveals about the new storyline.
He explained: “We are honoured to have Sinead O’Connor performing ‘The Skye Boat Song.’ Her rendition is, for me, a reminder of all that’s beautiful about Outlander.
“She is talented beyond measure. Hers is a voice of the ages—one which pierces heart and soul—and embodies the spirit of the show.”
Season seven will also see the return of Sophie Skelton as Brianna MacKenzie, David Berry as Lord John, and Paul Gorman as twins Josiah and Keziah Beardsley.
Outlander is currently streaming on Lionsgate+ in the UK.
