SAG Awards 2023: Aubrey Plaza flashes the flesh in a daring gold gown ahead of her presenting duties

Aubrey Plaza turned up the heat on the red carpet at the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The Emily the Criminal star, 38, had all eyes on her in a daring gold gown that featured a large front cutout showing off her toned midriff.

The White Lotus actress’ sensational Michael Kors gown featured a criss-cross halter neckline, as well as a sultry thigh-high slit.

Aubrey added extra height to the look with strappy gold heels that showed off her black pedicure.

While on the red carpet she mingled with Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler, 51, who, like Plaza, will be among one of the presenters at the ceremony.

Aubrey wore her shoulder-length brunette tresses in bouncy curls for the event, for which she worked with celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend, who used products from Sol de Janeiro and tools from GHD to create the look.

‘As soon as I saw Aubrey’s gorgeous sequin Michael Kors gown, my mind exploded with inspiration and hairdo ideas!’ Mark said of the look.

‘While chatting with her, we both wanted to lean into a ‘70s vibe with lots of movement and shine in the hair.’

To create that movement, Mark prepped Aubrey’s hair with the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Joia Milky Leave-In Conditioner, curled it with the GHD Helios Professional Hair Dryer, the brand’s Natural Round Bristle Brush, and the Curve Classic Curl Iron.

He then finished the look off with the brand’s Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil ‘to add loads of shine and keep the hair frizz free all night’.

Meanwhile, Aubrey’s makeup look for the evening was created by celebrity beauty pro Kathy Jeung, who used skincare and makeup from Charlotte Tilbury to prep the starlet for the red carpet.

‘Aubrey’s stunning metallic sequin gown felt like a modern take on a 1930’s screen siren and it immediately made me want to do a “bronzed goddess” makeup look,’ Kathy explained.

The makeup artist opted for ‘a sexy, smokey kohl rimmed, bronzed eye’ which she achieved with shades from the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon, the Hollywood Exagger-Eyes Liner Duo, and the Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara.

Her ‘radiant, glowing skin’ was given an oomph with the newly-launched Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand and the Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter.

Last but not least, her pout was plumped to perfection with the Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, as well as a slick of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Runway Royalty.
